Saturday was a big day.
Saturday was a pretty nice day around here. We finally were able to get the lawn mowed and clean up some planters. Aaron also did a couple of new things. After breakfast we decided to try our mesh feeder. I put some nectarine in there and gave it to Aaron. He is a big fan. He was able to mash most of the nectarine out of the feeder.
After he was done with his mesh feeder, we decided to to head outside and watch Mom and Dad do yard work. This is the first time he has spent anytime out on the deck.
He did have some concerns over the weed eater as you can see by the looks on his face.
What is this?
Hmm, this is pretty good.
Thanks Mom, I like this.

Daniel Boone???
We went to Cabela's last Sunday. Jerome wanted to take a drive in the nice weather. Surprise, surprise we ended up at a sporting goods store! Jerome saw this coonskin (fake) hat and thought Aaron needed one, so he tried it on.
What did you just put on my head?!
He was not a fan so the hat stayed at the store.

New trick
Aaron has started rolling off Jerome when he is on his chest. He thinks it is so much fun and it's a good thing Jerome expects it now.
I think he just likes to hang upside down!

I love my Daddy.
Aaron loves his Daddy.
Aaron and Jerome have such a great bond. It warms my heart everytime time I see them play together.
But sometimes it is a tie between his Daddy and his hand.

I love to jump!!!!
Aaron loves his jumparoo. He has even learned to swing it instead of just jumping up and down.
Aaron has many deep conversations with the bear on his jumparoo.

6 Months Old Already
My little man is 6 months old. I have no idea where the time has gone. It feels like just last week when we brought him home. Aaron has brought a love into our life that can not be expressed with words.

He is a very happy baby that loves to smile and is starting to be less stingy with his giggles. If you smile at him he will almost always smile back, even strangers. If you aren't watching him sometimes he will look at you, smiling, until you look at him and then give you a wider smile. He loves his Sophie the Giraffe, this stuffed monkey and when tired he likes to rub a blanket on his cheek to fall asleep. His favorite past times are standing and, of course, chewing on his fingers. We are hoping for a tooth soon.
At his 6 month appointment he got his shots and took them like a champ, only crying after the second one. He is 17 lbs (50th percentile), 26 3/4 in. long (75th percentile) and his head was 18 in. (95th percentile). He gained 2 1/2 lbs, 2 1/4 in. in length and 1 in. in his head since his 4 month appointment. The Doctor was very happy. We have also been very fortunate and he has not been sick one day in 6 months. We have a very healthy baby and are looking forward to all the new things to come in the next few months.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Aaron celebrates his 1st St. Patrick's Day. To celebrate we decided against green milk and went with peas instead.

Droolie McDroolerson
Hey! I'm just doing my usual chewing on my hand.
Sorry, I must concentrate on my chewing.
I love my hand.
Most of Aaron's day consists of chewing on his hands and now shoving his whole fist in his mouth while creating the most drool he can. Hopefully we will see the results of all this chewing with a tooth soon.

Fun in the sun and snow!
We took a drive up to the Summit at Snoqualmie to play in the snow. We had a good time and it was a beautiful day.
We also stopped by Snoqualmie Falls on the way home. The falls were in full force since we had gotten so much rain.
Aaron seemed to like the snow.

1st day at the pool
Aaron styling in his new swim suit.
We took Aaron to the pool for the 1st time today. Our YMCA offers a wade pool time where it is only 2 ft. deep. He had a good time and loved splashing around (knew he would based on the mess he makes splashing in the tub) and looking at the other kids.
Dad and Aaron before the big dip.

Oatmeal and his high chair.
We have now started oatmeal. He is a big fan of the oatmeal and ate a lot. He also sat in his high chair for the first time.

Introduction to cereal
So we have introduced Aaron to cereal. I don't think he is the biggest fan and is still figuring out what he is supposed to do with it. I'm sure he will become a fan of solids quickly.

4 months old!
So my baby is growing so fast. He is 4 months old already. At his 4 month appointment he weighed in at 14.5 lbs (45th percentile), 24.5 in long (25th percentile) and a 17" head (75th percentile). So basically we have a short, big headed baby. :) He is very healthy and happy and the Dr. was happy with his growth.

Rooting on the Seahawks.
Since Jerome is a die hard (even through the bad times) Seahawks fan, Aaron has no choice but to join him. This is Dad and son prior to the Bears play off game. Note that even Jerome's pajama pants and t-shirt are Seahawks.

New Year's Eve
Happy New Years! We had a very low key New Year's Eve. We went to a friends house near the lake. We heard lots of fireworks. Aaron made it all the way to 9pm. He did really well. He slept through all the fireworks and only woke up for a few minutes when we put him in the car seat to go home and when we got home. He fell back asleep very quickly both times and slept until 6:30 this morning. He ate and fell right back asleep until 9am.
