Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas.  We all must have been really good this year because Santa was very generous.  Aaron got a Sophie the Giraffe and an musical activity chair as well as a bunch more toys.  We are looking forward to him being ble to play with them. 

Went to Melanie's, Jerome's sister, house for Christmas Eve.  Mom came over for Christmas morning and breakfast.  We were able to webcam and open gifts with Dan, Siobhan and the girls as well as webcam with Starr and Pat.  Christmas afternoon we went to Marilyn's, Jerome's sister, for Christmas dinner.  It was nice to see everybody.

3 months old

Aaron has reached the 3 month mark and is now officially an infant, not a newborn.  I can't believe how much he has grown.  He is a happy baby and is pretty much sleeping through the night, 8+ hour stretches.  He loves to smile, coo and giggle and found his hands a few weeks ago.  We hear a lot of slurping now.  In the last week he has started to become interested in his feet and will stare and talk to his toys.  His favorite toys are his dog mobile on his swing.  He loves to sit there and have long conversations with them.

1st trip

Aaron and I went to MN the first week in December to visit Dan, Siobhan and the girls.  He was an excellent traveller.  He slept through both flights and flirted with anyone he could at the airports.  We loved seeing how big the girls the have gotten.  His nickname is buggy and Brogan picked that up and started calling him that when he would get upset.  She would calm him by singing to him as well.  The twins were interested in something that was smaller than them.

  While there we went to Santa's breakfast at Siobhan's old school.  He had his picture taken with Santa. 

2 month check-up and Thanksgiving

Aaron had his 2 month check-up Tuesday and he is perfectly healthy. He weighed in at 10 lb. 13 oz (25th percentile) and was 22 3/4 in. long (50th percentile).  He has started to smile at everyone including what I believe he thinks are his crazy parents and is a very happy baby.  He loves to coo in response to you talking to him and has some great facial expressions.

We had out first Thanksgiving as a family.  We hosted it at our house but Grandma Val and Aunt Melanie did all the work (Thanks ladies!).  Now I can't wait for Christmas.

Aaron will be taking his first airplane trip December 1st.  Aaron and I are headed to Minnesota to visit with his Aunt, Uncle and cousins.  I can't wait!



Drinking 4oz. and holding his own bottle

Little man is now up to 4oz. bottles.  If he keeps this up he is going to gain another 3 lbs in his second month!  He has been holding his bottles off and on, we finally got a picture of it tonight.

Halloween

So our little pumpkin was a pumpkin for Halloween.  He trick or treated at Grandma's, no candy just hugs. 

I grew again!

We went to the doctor today and had Aaron's tongue tie snipped.  While there they weighed him and he was up to 8lb 13oz.  That is another 10oz in a week.  He is determined to not be called little.

1 month check up

Aaron had his 1 month check up on 10/21.  He weighed in at 8lb. 3oz. and 20.5 inches long.  He has gained 2lb 10oz in a month.     The doctor said he was very healthy and growing above average.  These pictures are from this weekend.  Go Seahawks!

First bath

Aaron got his first full fledge bath last night.  Since he doesn't like to have his diaper changed and that is one of the few times he cries we figured he would do the same in the bath.  To our surprise he enjoyed it and didn't cry once.  But who doesn't enjoy a nice warm bath! :)

Growing so fast!

We went to our second pediatrician appointment on the 7th.  He weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 oz.  He gained over a pound in a week.  He also got his 1st Hepatitis B shot.  The first of many to come.  He changes everyday and I feel very fortunate to have the next 3 month off with him.

1st pediatrician appointment

Aaron had his 1st pediatrician appointment today.  He is perfect.  When we left the hospital he was 5lb 9oz and today he was 5lb 9.5oz.  He is alert and very healthy.  He is the best tempered baby and only cries when you change him.

Aaron Francis Britton has arrived!

Aaron has arrived.  He made his debut 2 weeks early and in a bit of a rush.  He was born on Thursday September 23rd at 3:29pm.  He was 5 lbs. 14 oz. and 18 inches long. 

28 weeks!

We are at 28 weeks now.  Only 12 more to go!  Things are progressing as they should.  I've only gained about 4 lbs. so far and I'm pretty sure that is all the little one.

It's a boy!

So we found out it is a boy.  There is definitely no doubt.  He performed well for that picture but wouldn't stop moving for the rest.  This is me at 20 weeks.  Currently we are at 23 weeks......time is going by so fast.  I will try and post some ultrasound pictures and we will update with the 24 week picture next week.

Dr. Appt.

Had our Dr. Appt. yesterday and everything looks good.  The HR was 155 and strong.  We go back 5/12 and will get an appt them to find out if it is a girl or a boy!  :)

We are now in our 15th week and going strong.  Baby is healthy and Mom is happy the morning sickness has pretty much gone away.  We will find out the middle of May whether it is a boy or a girl.  Jerome of course is rooting for a boy and I wouldn't mind a girl but all we both really want is a happy, healthy baby. :) 

We're expecting!

So we found out February 3rd that we are expecting!  It was something we had been trying for but still came as a surprise.  :)  We are due early October and will update on how things are going.

Whistler

Jerome and I headed off to Whistler the last weekend in January.  We had a nice time relaxing and snowboarding.  Not a lot was set up for the Olympics but some of it was in process.  We didn't get any snow while we were there but it still was a nice break.

We're engaged!

As most already know Jerome and I got engaged in August.  We are planning on a July 2011 wedding.
